1. Use IXL for 25 minutes at least! (Remember our conversations on Wednesday--You need to USE the program and hit submit--links are below--you MUST use the links I provided)
2. Work on the worksheets that you got yesterday--finish them up and turn them in
3. Get the new worksheet from the guest teacher (colored handout)--on the left side where the squares are, put in ANY number -10 to 10. Put that number into the inequality (rule) and then on the right side, write the number you got and say YES the number you picked was a solution or NO it was not a solution

Yesterday we played "around the room" with Unit 1 Test Review Questions. The students did fairly well.
Today:
We took a Unit 1 Practice Test. It was very hard for most students. We will go over the Practice Test on Thursday and do some more review Questions.
All students will be allowed to use NOTES on the test. They need to have them with them as I will not be printing them the day of the test.
Test will be FRIDAY.

Yesterday we played a memory review game to apply our knowledge of putting an answer for a variable and checking the equation.
Today we reviewed our notes (ways to solve one variable equations) and completed a guided practice worksheet. Additionally, we played the memory game again. The worksheet is due Monday--most students finished it.
Monday we will be solving literal equations, Tuesday we will play a math review game, Wednesday will be our practice test and Wednesday will be TEST CHAPTER 1!

- Today we reviewed putting an equation into y=mx+b format
- We then reviewed the steps to graphing a line with a calculator
- put the equation into y=mx+b
- push y= button
- push graph button
- if there are problems try pushing window button then 6
- to see the table, push 2nd button then graph button
- We looked at putting graphs onto paper using an x/y chart (using the numbers -1, 0, 1 for x
- 1-6 on Graphing Worksheet (1. Graph on calculator, 2. Write an x/y table with points -1, 0, 1 and 3. Draw graph on the worksheet (EVERYONE had hw)
- REMINDER: x is the sideways line and y is the up and down line
- X is the FIRST number listed and Y is the 2nd number listed
- x to the right is positive, x to the left is negative
- y up is positive and y down is negative
