Today we reviewed what we learned on Wednesday

then we took notes on two different types of absolute equalities

    AND

│x-b│ = c

We also did practice problems! :)

Monday we will practice these two concepts and learn the steps to solve   a│x-b│ = c

Yesterday:
We took a quiz and worked on IXL

Today:
Started Absolute Value!
Remember absolute value is NEVER Negative!! Absolute value is just the distance something is from the base (or 0)--example: you don't drive negative 5 miles to get home; you just drive five miles.

l-4l=4

lxl=4 means x originally could have been  +4 or -4

Remember--when dividing by a negative number, switch the inequality sign to the opposite way!

Happy Wednesday!

Today we had some work time to correct work, work on missing work and ask questions. Additionally, we completed a graphing inequalities activity with poker chips.

Tomorrow we will continue to work on solving and graphing inequalities--multiplying/dividing AND work on the IXL website.

Today:
1. Use IXL for 25 minutes at least! (Remember our conversations on Wednesday--You need to USE the program and hit submit--links are below--you MUST use the links I provided)

2. Work on the worksheets that you got yesterday--finish them up and turn them in

3. Get the new worksheet from the guest teacher (colored handout)--on the left side where the squares are, put in ANY number -10 to 10. Put that number into the inequality (rule) and then on the right side, write the number you got and say YES the number you picked was a solution or NO it was not a solution
